- To sharpen a dull knife, use first the coarse sharpening slot. Place the blade facing down in the middle of the slot, then pull it towards you, from end to tip.
- Next, to refine the sharpen blade use the fine sharpening side which is made of ceramic. Hold the knife at a 30-degree angle from the ceramic surface and move the blade slowly across the surface from base of the blade to the point, as if you are trying to slice a thin layer.
- Repeat #2 on the other side.
